You’ve resurfaced my memories of that time, working as head communicator at a non-profit that began immediately responding. I had to work through my Christmas break to get the word out to our donors. A few years later, I visited the area and spent time with people in some of the villages impacted. In one village, we visited the graves of those lost - nearly half their small village.
