Your kindness enfolds me. I feel very supported, and blessed by all the love that surrounds me. So, even though this passage feels rough at times, it also feels just right. Like being licked by the tongue of a mama cat. :-)

When making for laps for others, I ask, “What may I do to bring you comfort?” I don’t presume to know their balm. Sometimes they know precisely what they want. Often, they have no idea, and The Thing they want is my intuitive response. When that happens, I breathe them into my heart. That person, I inhale them into me so I can feel their pulse and quivers. Energetically, I share the sharp pointy edges of what they’re enduring with them. The Ultimate Lap I offer is empathy.

And it’s the one I most appreciate sitting in, too.
