Make a great circle a hundred feet around. Drop in it all the things that scare you. Fly into the air five hundred feet. A thousand feet. 10,000 feet 10,000 feet Expand to fill the sky Look down at your circle See how the center shapes the boundary. See the boundary become the center.

See the things that scare you held safely in the circles embrace. Goblins and ghosts flow back in time Become children, toddlers, beloved babies Return, fly home with the sun in your wings

This Fall has been a time of accelerating change, in the lives of so many of us, and in the life of our world.

For the most part, these are changes we have actively chosen — and they are evolutionary in their effects. And yet, some of our inner selves are more comfortable with change than others who might be younger, more vulnerable, more afraid.

This brief video poem is my offering of love to our scared, vulnerable selves — a reminder that our beingness spans both earth and sky…and everything in between.

How do you engage with fear? What do you do to meet it, and yourself, with love?
